is there any give or just a little "stretch" to the material? also do bra lines show through?

BEST ANSWER: Yes the fabric has stretch both in the body as well as in the mock neck. My bra lines do not show through.

Holly,There is adequate give in the knit fabric,but be careful of shrinkage......I like my layering pieces quite large so I order the XL in order to get the L after washing......Bra lines do Not show thru' and the straps do not show either......These are my favorite layering pieces and have them in every color......Hope this helps you ??

There is some give to the material though it always washes well and does not loose its shape. I always buy a larger size that what I measure so for me, no, my bra lines do not show through. I wear a size 4 or 6 normally and I bought the L. I am very happy with the fit and the durability of this top!

These are soft and light, but they have a close weave and are not at all flimsy, so they definitely have some give. Bra lines don't show for me, but then I like a looser fit, so I order a slightly larger size and the top doesn't cling. I don't know what would happen with a tighter fit.

The material is 100% cotton knit on the ones I have. It fits close after just a bit of shrinkage (up a bit), but not tight. It does not cling. Bra straps do not show through. Fits just like it looks on model. I where these alone or under a layer.

Is this shell 100% cotton? If not, what is the material?

BEST ANSWER: It is 100% cotton. I have bought about 10 of these as I ear them all the time in various colors. They are dressy enough and go well with jean and comfortable on warm days. Also they make a great 1st layer with a winter sweater!

They say it is, but it is in no way like the ones I've bought in the past that were 100% cotton. The neckline on this puckers so much I got rid of the THREE that I bought this time. VERY frustrating.

If you layer this in summer underneath a low cut top, is it too hot?

BEST ANSWER: I think it depends on where you live and whether you're cold- or hot-natured! I live in the South (No Carolina) and am in the throes of menopause, so often experience hot flashes. I love this top as part of my summer wardrobe, but I would never layer it under something in the summer. If you're cold-natured or live in more moderate climes, perhaps you could get away with layering it... I have, however, worn it under a V-neck sweater in the winter (the sleeveless style is cooler for me to layer than something long-sleeved).

Hard to say. How hot is it where you are in summer? It's in the 80s here and definitely too hot to wear layers. But these tops are wonderful later in the evening when it cools into the low 70s or high 60s.
