I am 5'5'' and the cardigan that I bought hits me mid-hip. It falls where others do. It measures 23" from shoulder to hem. I like the fit.

Does this start to pill after it's been washed a few times? I usually avoid acrylic ("apillic") for this very reason, but I am sure there can be exceptions, although I haven't found any yet! Thank you! :-)

I have 4 of the cardigan's. They have been washed multiple times and I have not had any pilling. They are still as soft and fluffy as they were the day I bought them.

BEST ANSWER: I don't have a small, but there is one thing I can contribute. With the medium, the sleeves are not too long, as many petite sized sweaters and tops are for me. I also have one in a large, and it is quite a bit longer than the medium. Hope you get the answer you seek!

Does the petite extra large compare closer to a fit w/the misses medium or large?

BEST ANSWER: I have not purchased one of the sweaters which are the basis of this question. However I frequently purchase in the petite category. The basic difference between Miss and Petite is in the length of sleeve (long sleeved garments) and the length of the bodice. The overall fit isn't affected by the category. I expect that Large would be large or Xlarge, Xlarge but just a longer garment in general (if a jacket probably an inch or an inch and a half) or longer sleeves if a Miss.

Are the sleeves shorter in the petite than in the misses?

BEST ANSWER: I wear the sweater with the end of the sleeves cuffed. They do come down to the joints of my wrist. A difference that I see in a petite size is the bulk or fit of the sleeve. It is a bit slimmer.

BEST ANSWER: the customer is asking about polo shirts by leon levy - as to the boucle sweaters - they do not hold up well - I bought 3 last year and all our piling and look very old - I have followed the wash instructions and block them to dry on a towel on my bathroom floor, I am looking for a cotton sweater cardigan in navy to replace my worst offender in my navy boucle.
