What is the fabric?

BEST ANSWER: The fabric is 67% Polyester and 33% Rayon. Even though the stitching only reaches the hips, the pleats stay nice and crisp. I think I made an excellent buy. I bought all of them! Happy shopping!

Fabric is a polyester/rayon blend, 67/33%. It has held the pleats pretty well, although I haven't had a chance to wear it much since I bought it..

BEST ANSWER: No zipper close. This is an elastic waist. It is very comfortable! I wear it for a variety of things including Scottish Country Dance. I love it!

I love it in the purple. I tried order it in petite to avail. Anyone know what EXACTLY I am doing wrong?

BEST ANSWER: I have this skirt in the red plaid; when I looked at the current ad for it, purple was not an option; they had it in red, black and white, and black-watch plaid. I am a petite and the skirt fits very well, is very comfortable around the waist as there is elastic in the waist. I find no problems with the skirt. Perhaps you are having a problem because there is no purple option. I have had the skirt since last year and do not remember a purple option at that time. Good luck. If you continue to have problems, give Customer Service a call on the phone instead of trying over the internet.

What does the Tog Shop mean mid calf length? Let us know the length of the skirt in inches. Other online retailers do. They say mid-calf It is mid calf on who. I'm 5 foot 2 and want to know the exact length

I returned the skirt. The quality of the material did not match the style of the skirt or appear any thing like it looks like in the picture. The material was clingy from what I remember not at all suitable for this style also it was long.

BEST ANSWER: The skirt is 67% Polyester and 33% rayon. It doesn't wrinkle and the pleats stay nice and crisp. For winter, I prefer merino wool skirts; however, because of the material, this skirt would work year round. I haven't had it dry cleaned as yet but I assume that it will wear well. Hope this answers your question.

The tag says 67% polyester, 33% rayon. The appearance is refined and wool-like without the scratchiness, tightly woven with a nice weight and a smooth, supple hand. I love this skirt. The material and workmanship live up to the classic style.

some kind of acrylic wool like fabric, but it is not wool. The pleats are shallow and there is no zipper, so you have be able to get it on over your head or hips. Does fall nicely around the hips though.

It's called a boiled wool jacket. I have two of these skirts in different colors, and I wear them with the black, boiled wool jacket.
